When we originally started our school supply business, we were always perplexed at the number of students who didn’t register to receive supplies. When we asked one of the teachers the reason why so many kids weren’t ordering, we got a quick wake-up call to the number of children who simply couldn’t afford school supplies. It was at that very moment that Kula Cares was born. Kula Cares was founded in 2020 with a simple effort to raise funds for a backpack drive. With the overwhelming support from our friends & family, we were able to provide over 100 backpacks filled with supplies to local communities. We created Kula Cares to improve the educational success of disadvantaged children in any community by providing items needed for school, building their self-esteem, and improving their well-being.
